I think that Christina Aguilera is the victim of double standards. I feel that a male in the industry could very easily get away with saying and doing some of things that the media tries to condemn her for saying or doing. From what’s been reported about Simon Cowell behind-the-scenes and what we see on camera, why isn’t anyone calling him “a total bitch?” To be honest everyone has a little bit of “bitch” in them, but Christina’s is just magnified and focused on because she has been labeled as “difficult” and “bitchy” by others in the past. I have never met her so I can only speak in general terms. Sometimes when a woman is too opinionated we write them off as “bitchy” and then when they are too docile and quiet they are viewed as weak. Additionally, people like to throw around the term “egotistical” when most of the time it’s about self-worth. If having a huge ego makes someone a “bitch” then Kanye should change his first name. Here’s to the stan that asked what I thought about Xtina’s “shade.”
This is probably my favourite cover by far from JoJo. This was a tribute to the late Aaliyah and it made total sense to cover her songs because she was performing in her city. This was really touching, especially since Aaliyah was my favourite growing up. JoJo definintely did justice to her songs. RIP babygirl.
